Human Design was introduced by Alan Robert Krakower, known as Ra Uru Hu, who said he received the system during a mystical experience in Ibiza in January 1987. From then until his death in 2011 he developed and taught it around the world.

The systems it combines
Human Design synthesizes several traditions: Western astrology (planetary positions), the Chinese I Ching (the 64 gates), the Kabbalah Tree of Life (the channel structure), the Hindu chakra system (the centers) and ideas from quantum physics and genetics as a metaphor.
